Pinner is in Harrow, not Hillingdon
Most of the towns we cover sit in the London Borough of Hillingdon. Pinner is in Harrow, and the two councils take a different line on electric vehicles.
If you have a driveway it makes no difference at all — the job is exactly the same.
If you do not have a driveway, it matters a lot. Harrow is expanding public charging in residential streets, including lamp column chargers you can use overnight, and you can ask them to consider a location near you. Harrow is also developing a policy for pavement gullies, which Hillingdon has ruled out entirely.
None of that is work we do — it is the council. But it is worth knowing, and we would rather point you somewhere useful than sell you something that will not work.
What Pinner houses tend to need
A lot of Pinner is larger interwar and postwar housing, generally bigger than the Ruislip stock. That changes the job in three ways.
Longer cable runs
A detached house with the board at the front and parking round the side or back can easily be twice the run of a standard semi. That is the main thing that moves the price.
More people want two chargers
Two cars on the drive is common round here. It is very doable, but it is exactly where load management stops being optional — two 7kW chargers plus a house is more than most single-phase supplies will take without help.
Three-phase is more common

A straight word about 22kW chargers
You will see 22kW units advertised and they look like the obvious upgrade. On a normal single-phase house they will only ever deliver 7kW, because the supply cannot do more. You would be paying extra for a number on the front of the box.
